Easter Saturday

We did our Easter celebration on Saturday this year because Brian planned to leave for his new job in Dilley (sniff, sniff) early Sunday. When Bailey and Brian bought their new house here in Ft. Worth a few short months ago, we had all kinds of plans about spending all of the holidays at their new digs. Well, as it turns out, this Easter is going to be the only one since their move is just a few weeks away. Ugh.

Boogity Bean was so happy when his Uncle Brenner arrived!

Then, Uncle Braydon showed up too - what handsome boys! Let's just ignore the "Beer Pong" shirt that Brenner is wearing for the sake of this post, as it certainly isn't Easter attire. He had come directly from spending the night at a friend's house and had borrowed the shirt. Teenagers. What are ya gonna do?

This picture was taken to prove exactly who is the tallest of the Gold men. Grandpa still manages to eek out Brenner by a smidgeon and Braydon comes in third.

We had lots of yummy snacks, as you can see by the remnants of delicious fruit dip on Weston's sweet, kissable lips.

Of course, we dyed lots of eggs. In fact, I think Bailey bought every single kind of egg dying kit on the market - ha!

This egg matched Bailey's shirt! I love how young Bailey looks in these pics since she was makeup free - still looks like my baby girl and still hard for me to believe that she is a Mommy herself!

Between food, drinks and egg dye, Scoober was a MESS - just look at that shirt.

He was having a ball, however, spending lots of quality time with his fam.

After a big dinner, Scoobs decided to ditch his clothes and kick back on the couch with his juice box to watch the Spurs............who ended up losing, darn it.

Naturally, the best part about having a juice box is playing with the straw!

Pretty soon, our little "Easter Bunny" was worn out and ready for his jammies.

All ready for bed!

The Stockings Were Hung By The Chimney With Care...

It makes me positively giddy to see this sweet stocking hanging from our fireplace. As you can see, it belongs to my precious Weston. I had SO much fun picking it out just for him and think it turned out so cute!!! WOO HOO for Weston's first Christmas!!!

Look What We Got!!!

Last night, my friend Gail (Reed's Mom) gave me the most precious ornament in honor of my sweet Scooty Bug's very first Christmas! It's a tiny bird delicately stitched with the words "Baby's First Christmas". He has a little felt wing and a little felt beak and is just adorable!

I LOVE IT!

I think Lishy loves it too! He held onto it all morning - I think he just knew how special it is to his Granny!

Happy Thanksgiving!

It was wonderful to be together with Scooty on his very first Thanksgiving!

We had LOTS of people at our house, including Grandpa & me, of course,

Brian, Bailey, Scooty himself, Braydon, Chloe, Chloe's parents, Brenner, Kyle and "Aunt" Robin.

Weston, as always, looked totally adorable!

"Aunt" Robin, "famous" for her great gifts, brought Weston the cutest little stuffed turkey and Thanksgiving book.

We all had a good day and stuffed ourselves silly!

It's Almost Turkey Time!

Well, Halloween is officially over and Thanksgiving is up next!

So, I thought I'd have some fun with my Boogity Bean and a couple of turkeys!

He seriously thinks he can eat EVERYTHING!

Weston's First Halloween!

We had been so worried that our precious Scoots wouldn't be able to enjoy his very first Halloween because he had been really sick with a virus - HIGH fever for three days - yuck!

However, our strong little Lish pulled through like a champ and was ALL better just in time for trick or treating! Brian, Bailey and Weston came over to our house to celebrate Halloween and Boogity Bean had a great time!

As the evening went on, our Boogity started getting really tired and a bit cranky!

Until, that is, poor Weston literally fell asleep with his face on the steering wheel.....soooo sweet!

We tried taking him out of the wagon for ONE last photo op, but he was having NOTHING to do with it! Our little monster was tuckered out!
