Sweaty Scooty!

This afternoon, Weston was taking a nap when Brian and Bailey came to pick him up from my house after work. When Brian went into Weston's room to wake him up, he found one SWEATY SCOOTY! Lish was all cuddled up in his blankets and came out with some SERIOUS BED HEAD!

Just look at those rosy cheeks and those strawberry-blonde curls!

ACK! It looks like he stuck his fingers in a light socket or something! SO FUNNY!

Recently, Scooty Bug got a real "lift" from his Grandpa! I'm not sure if he had more fun being up on Grandpa's shoulders or pulling Grandpa's hair!!! Either way, Weston had an awfully good time!

Way To Go, Uncle Brenner!

Weston's Uncle Brenner took FIRST place in his golf tournament this past Monday. In fact, Brenner has had two first place finishes and a 3rd place finish in the last four tournaments he has played!!! We are all SOOOOO proud of him!

Great-Granny Is Here!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We've had a VERY special visitor at our house for the past several days..........Weston's Great-Granny!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I can't even begin to express how meaningful it was for me to get to share my precious grandson with my Mom. She means sooooo much to me and I was beyond proud to show her just how SPECTACULAR our Scooty Bug really is!!! Of course, I'm always going on and on about Lish when I talk to my Mom on the phone or through emails or this blog or pictures, etc., but actually having her here to witness him firsthand was just the BEST! As you will see from ALL of the pictures, Weston and his Great-Granny had such fun together!

Tongue Twister!

Scooty Bug has a new "thing" that he does! You can see it VERY well in this picture of him with his BFF, Harper. Can you see that sweet little tongue of his??? See how he twists it??? I guess that Lish has just "discovered" his tongue or something because he twists it back and forth like that all the time and just gets the biggest kick out of it! Naturally, it's precious............

Official Big Boy Bath!

A couple of months ago, I posted how hard it was getting for me to bathe Weston because he was too big for the baby bath tub, yet still needed me to hold onto him in the big tub since he couldn't sit up by himself. Crouching next to the tub to steady him was killing my back and knees! Well, just look at Scooty Bug now!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

He sits up like a champ and LOVES his bath! Now all I have to do is "be near" and he will play forever if I let him! I love it that he is such a water baby! My bathroom is literally soaked by the time Lish gets done splashing around in there, but I don't mind one bit! I LOVE YOU, MY LITTLE FISHY!!!

PENS!

Weston LOVES pens.......and I mean LOVES em'! He can entertain himself for half an hour or more with a bucket of pens, markers etc. Who knows??? Perhaps he'll be an artist like his Uncle Braydon and Great-Uncle Martin! I have never ever given a second thought to handing my Scoots a pen..............that is, however, until this morning when that smart little Booger of ours figured out how to remove the pen cap!!!!!!!!!! Just take a look at his handiwork! And, you can't see it in the picture, but he has pen marks all along the left side of his face, ear etc. What a brilliant little Boogity!

Cooler Weather Means...

a WHOLE new wardrobe for Scooty Bug!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Doesn't he just look oh so scrumptious in those precious little jeans of his and his long-sleeved shirt??? I adore Weston in his snuggly, fallishy, wintery clothes - it makes him even MORE edible, if that's possible!

I have had so much fun shopping for cool weather clothes for Boogity and his wardrobe is filling up fast! We had bought him SO many winter things before he was born, never dreaming that he'd be wearing size 18 month clothes at the age of 6 1/2 months!!! Luckily, we can pass all of the things that he never got to wear on to Lishy's precious younger cousin, Easton Michael Perkins! I love to look at Easton's blog and see him in Weston's clothes - SO SPECIAL!

You are soooooooo handsome, Weston! Granny can't wait to show you off in all your new duds!

Lish!

It simply amazes me that I just keeping loving this little boy more and more and more every single day. He is so incredible and has such a magical personality. Just thought I'd share a few things he is doing lately....other than TOTALLY capturing my heart:
*Weston can now wave bye-bye......melt!
*If you tell Scooty "no no" (which I don't - ha!), he will nod his sweet
little head back and forth - what a genius!
*He can say "daddy". Sigh......
*When he gets really mad, he clenches his fists really tight and stiffens up his muscles like a little Hulk - SOOO funny!

Scooty Socks!

Bailey found some things for Weston called "baby legs". They are basically leg warmers - you know, like the kind I used to wear back in the day............long, long ago. Anyway, they are AdOrAbLe!!!!! The name "baby legs" is okay, I suppose, but I prefer to call them Scooty Socks because no one in the world could look cuter in them than our Scoots! Just see for yourself!

What a happy smooshie!!! Nothing can beat the way Lishy's chunky little thighs pour out the tops of his Scooty Socks. And, I just love the green argyle pattern for fall. He's SO stylin'!

Puppy Love!

Weston loves dogs - it just had to be that way considering what dog fanatics Bailey and I both are. Scoots just lights up when he sees my pups every day. His fave by far is Jager. I'd say the feelings are mutual! Enjoy!

I think it is so important for kiddos to be around animals. The unconditional love of a dog just tops the charts! Here's to puppy love!
