The Smile Gets Me Every Single Time!

Scooty's smile... that gummy, drooly, open-mouth, ear-to-ear, twinkle-eyed, heart-felt, most adorable smile - it is my TOTAL weakness. During my latest Target run, I think Lishy may have smiled at this cutie-pie little car thingy so.......guess who owns it now????

He. Just. Doesn't. Want. To. Nap. - EVER! I think he's afraid he'll miss something exciting! If he does manage to fall asleep, it's only for about 20 minutes or so. No joke.

Maybe it's his little choppers coming in, or maybe he just can't stand a single moment away from his Granny..........hee hee!

Whew! What a BUSY day with our Scooty Bug! First of all, tonight is the big UT vs. Texas Tech football game so the whole family got decked out in our UT gear.....................

Today was also Weston's buddy Asher's first birthday party! Happy Birthday, Asher! Looks like

The party had a western theme with lots of adorable decorations and yummy vittles. Just look at our precious cowboy!

Have you EVER seen SOOOOO much drool come from one baby???? Those teeth of his should be popping through any second now!

Today was also the day that I bought Weston his very first PUMPKIN!!! We are going to paint it next week - I CAN'T WAIT!!!

I have always loved pumpkins, but I REALLY LOVE my Scoots!!!

Uh Oh...........Look Who's Driving!

Yep, it's our Scooty Bug! Now that he is getting better and better about sitting up on his own, I decided to try Boogity Boo in the wagon today - IT WAS A MAJOR HIT, so I officially handed him the keys!

He was SO proud! It is so amazing to live new experiences like this through Weston's eyes. His excitement couldn't even compare to mine!!! To see him SOOOOO happy just melted my heart.

I didn't even mind that nasty, hot Texas sun just to see him smile like that!

I've always known that Lish is BRILLIANT but I mean, come on, just LOOK at that hand placement on the wheel, with absolutely NO prompting from his Granny!

He's just a natural!

What fun we had! I can't wait to do it again! Maybe next time I'll be brave enough to leave out the red blanket that I squished in there to make certain that Scoots didn't face plant into the wheel. I'm sure he would have been just fine, but, when it comes to this baby of ours, I just can't be careful enough!

THAT FACE IS JUST PRECIOUS!

I have never really seen Weston react to a change in action - we come and go all day long changing from one activity to another - until today. He literally CRIED big ol' tears when I took him out of the wagon to go inside. Poor little guy. It broke my heart. We'll do it again soon, my pumpkin. I LOVE YOU MY LITTLE DRIVER MAN!

Uncle Braydon And The Lish!

Since Uncle Braydon doesn't live at home anymore and is off at UTA being an incredibly smart student, he doesn't get to see Scooty Bug as often as he would like. However, when he does get to spend time with our precious Boogs, it is THE BEST!

Uncle Brenner and His Budzie...

See that inquisitive look on Scooty Bug's face??? It's because he hears something..........a very familiar sound in fact...one that our nhood hears everyday around 3 p.m. It's the sound of Uncle Brenner's car coming down the street. Brenner drives a little sports car and always revs up his engine a bit as he approaches home. Boogity knows it, the dogs know it, we ALL know it.......and it makes Weston VERY happy!

I love how you can totally see the anticipation in Lishy's eyes and in his hands.....the way he immediately stops playing when he hears Brenner's engine.

And then there is THIS precious reaction.....Scoots flashing me that adorably gummy grin of his just knowing that, at any moment, his beloved Uncle Brenner is going to walk through the door.

And then, it happens....Brenner comes in and is treated to THIS SCRUMPTIOUS SMILE!
Greetings just don't come any sweeter than that!

Chef Licious Is At It Again!

This morning, Chef Licious and I were whipping up all sorts of goodies for Monday Night Football. All of the nhood guys get together on Mondays to watch the NFL game. One guy each week is responsible for providing the chow. This week, it's Scooty's Grandpa's turn!

Here, the Lish is helping me frost (and taste!) the cupcakes.

HA! His expression cracks me up. Weston loved when I gave him tiny tastes of the chocolate frosting and would get SO, SO mad when I didn't! Next project...sloppy Joe's! Thanks for all of your assistance, Chef Licious. I LOVE YOU!

So Sorry...

For those of you who freak out when there are no recent updates to Scooty's blog....I am "Lishyless" again this weekend.........sniff, sniff. Brian, Bailey and Weston left for San Antonio this morning to attend a baby shower in honor of Weston's soon to be born cousin, Wyatt. I miss my Bug so much already, but am glad that he will get to visit lots of family in San Antonio who don't get to see him very often. As soon as that sweet little Boogity of mine gets back, my camera will be ready and waiting!
