I just wanted to share some pictures that I took of Weston during lunch today. Nothing overly exciting - at least not to the average eye...I, on the other hand, happen to think EVERYTHING about our Scoobs is exciting - but just a typical lunch scene with my happy little man!

Sweet, Cautious Grandpa!
Grandpa was off from work today and set out to take Weston on a walk this morning. He went out in the garage, got Weston all settled in his little push car and then came running back into the house to get his car keys. When I asked him what he was doing back in the house, he said he needed to get something out of his car. I thought nothing more of it and went about doing what I do. Well, when they came in a bit later, THIS is how our sweet Scoober looked...
I love that man.

Early Birthday Surprises From" Auntie" Robin!
WOO HOO! Yesterday, Weston received a very special delivery from his "Auntie" Robin!
This morning, Brian, Bailey & Scooty Bug came for a Sunday visit and, even though Lishy's birthday is still four days away, I couldn't resist giving him the package!
Bailey has the jammies on her lap, while Weston is ready to "dig in" to the next gift!

Our Big Boy!
Thankfully, the stomach flu is slowly but surely loosening its evil grip on our home!
I am feeling much better, as is precious Weston. Brian is still in the early stages of recovery, but doing better. Soooooo, Scoots came for a visit today - yippee!!!
The weather today was BEAUTIFUL so Grandpa took Weston out in his car - one of Lishy's FAVORITE things to do! (I think it is one of Grandpa's favorite things too!)

Ugh...
Taking a slight break from blogging until the stomach flu decides to redirect its invasion of our home.

This MIGHT Be Funny....
if our Scooty Bug wasn't such a little wild RAT!
Let me set the stage for you.........Weston was playing in the den and had just turned on the stereo (he knows EXACTLY what buttons to push and does it numerous times each day) and twisted the volume knob to FULL BLAST! The loud sound was scaring some of the other daycare kiddos (not our crazy man, of course - the louder the better for him) so I turned down the music and carried Weston into the kitchen to divert his attention to something else. I set him on the kitchen counter and handed him a brush and a bottle of lotion. Neither was a big hit. He immediately tossed the lotion bottle on the floor, twisted himself around, and did THIS:
Now, don't get me wrong............I'm an awfully proud peacock that he can stand so well and almost walk on his own now, but ON THE KITCHEN COUNTER??????? SERIOUSLY????????
I almost had a heart attack.
Since I was standing right there, however, I thought I'd see just how far this little daredevil would go............
And, THIS, my friends and family, was my answer. Not only is he standing on the counter, but what the camera doesn't capture is the fact that he is dancing to the music which was still on - not ear piercingly loud anymore, but still on. His little fists are balled up in front of him and he's pumping them back and forth as he gets his groove on. Wow.
This boy DEFINITELY knows what he wants and does not appreciate anyone changing his
plans - ha!
I LOVE YOU, MY BOOGIE LOVIN' BABY!

A New Trick!
Weston has tons of little squirty toys in the bathtub. He loves playing with them, but never understood the concept of actually squirting them. That is, until today!
He squeezed the starfish and out shot the water. At first, he was really taken aback and didn't quite know what to think. After doing it several more times, he just cracked up and thought it was the greatest thing in the world! He loved it and would have stayed in that bathtub until he turned into a shriveled prune!
See That Little Snot Nose?
Our Boogity Bean has ANOTHER ear infection. Poor little Scoober.
This one seems to have been caught pretty early, however, so hopefully the antibiotics will work QUICK!
Enjoying his morning toasted three seed bread w/butter!

These May Just Be Everyday, Ordinary Pictures...

My precious Scooty Bug!
For whatever reason, I just really like these three pics...

Reunited!
My precious Scooty Bug was out of town all weekend long - ugh. Brian, Bailey and my Lishy left Thursday evening for San Antonio and didn't come back until Sunday afternoon. That was, to date, the longest I have ever been away from Weston and I didn't like it one little bit!
I was SO excited when they got home and couldn't wait to get my hands on "my" baby!
When I walked in his front door, he was clear across the room playing - that is until he saw his GRANNY!!!!!! Once he caught my eye, that sweet little man crawled as fast as his little body could go to get to me while sporting the BIGGEST ear to ear grin EVER!
Words can't express how happy I was to see that scrumptious boy and how his reaction to me completely solidified all of the decisions that I have been grappling with over the past couple of weeks about moving back to San Antonio since Brian has been transferred. Weston's smile was the exact sign that I needed to put my heart at peace with leaving Ft. Worth. I would go anywhere for that smile! :)
With that being said, I didn't have my camera along for our reunion, but I DID capture Weston and Harper seeing each other this morning for the first time since Thursday.
The pictures of these sweet best buddies speak for themselves...

For THIS Baby...
I would do ANYTHING!!!!
He is my world.
See that messy face of his????
We just got finished sharing an ice cream sandwich.
I LOVE ice cream sandwiches, but they taste even yummier when shared with Weston...
Every single thing he does, no matter how small, completely captures me.
You should see him eat spaghetti - he's a PRO!
The way he slurps up the noodles is downright GENIUS, I tell you.
He sees a ball and says "ball". He hears the dogs and says "dog".
Brilliant.
He can build with blocks and climb his slide.
What a star!
His every move warms me to my core.
That confidence comes from knowing that he is unconditionally adored!
He reprograms my stereo every single day. It just makes the music that much sweeter.
He completely wrecks my bathroom by splashing like a total crazy man in the bath.
I consider it better than any cruise I could possibly take!
He eats mandarin oranges by the truckload.
I love mandarin oranges too!
He snuggles into my arms like the missing piece to my puzzle.
Heaven.
Lately, he has perfected this extra cheesy grin which could literally get me to give him ANYTHING!
He BEAMS when he sees me - and I beam back. In fact, I've beamed more since that precious baby has been born than I have beamed in my entire life!
And, speaking of beaming, don't EVEN get me started on the explosion of pride I feel every time someone comments on my GORGEOUS grandson.
Melt.
NOTHING makes me more proud than being a Mom and a Granny!
He is SO smart and SO inquisitive!
You say "knock knock" and he'll bang things together to imitate the sound - um, hello??? Einstein in the making!
His litttle pink toes are the sweetest softest piggies on the farm!
His neck......there is a special reserve of the sweetest juice you could ever taste in there!
His eyes.........the bluest pools you'll ever swim in.
Those thighs - chubby and delicious.
His little hands.......fit perfectly into mine.
Our hearts......beat together.
Love.
Move mountains.
Sell my soul.
Jump in front of a speeding bullet.
Read a million bedtime stories.
Travel to the ends of the earth.
Give my last bite.
ANYTHING and EVERYTHING, without hesitation.
I love you, Weston!
YOU are my greatest gift.
