Such A Good Baby!

Remember how I told you that this sweet, precious grandson of mine is sooooooooooooo good.

And that he nearly always treats us with great big smiles!

Well, check this out...

This is a typical shot around our house. The daycare kiddos are playing away and, trust me, they are NOT quiet about it...........at all! They are usually chatting and squealing at TOP volume while dropping/tossing toys, making car sounds, playing with loud electronic toy type gadgets, etc. Now, notice my sweet, little Scooty Bug all cuddled up fast asleep in his crib despite the chaos. Such a complete peach!

BFF'S

Harper and Weston. Weston and Harper. No matter how you say it, these two are tight, plain and simple. Harper adores Weston and Weston is fascinated with Harper. I couldn't be happier because I love them both so much.

Harps loves to tickle Scooty's sweet little piggy toes. Just look at how he is staring at her - he loves that girl, I tell ya!

Here, Scoots is just "talking" away to Harper. She will talk right back to him and always tells me, "Wesson (her version of Weston) is my friend." Melt. My. Heart.

Here, TOTALLY unprompted, Harper is going in for a kiss for my Licious! There definitely aren't many girls who I would allow to do that, but with Harper, I don't mind one little bit. In fact, I think it is the cutest thing ever! It's just great that kiddos so young can already form such close friendships. Just incredibly sweet.

Wow! Looks like this one's going to be right on the ol' smacker! It's so funny how she is holding his little head steady.

Fussball, Anyone???

With the World Cup going on, we've been watching alot of soccer around here lately. In fact, Scooty Bug comes from a long line of soccer players. His Great-Great Grandpa, Eberhard Graffmann, was even part of the German Olympic Soccer Team!!! Pretty cool, huh?

All three of my kiddos played soccer from the time they were toddlers. Bailey was definitely in it for the uniforms and the social aspect of the game. Brenner, however, was a really good player and stuck with it for many, many years. And, Braydon, always has been and still is a SOCCER BEAST!!! That boy is afraid of nothing, I tell you, and would sacrifice his body game after game after game to secure a win. Braydon not only still plays soccer on a men's league, but rarely misses a televised game. We've been thinking about him an awful lot during the World Cup since he is counseling at a Christian camp in Arkansas right now and has NO access to TV!!!

And here he is posing with the amazing wooden soccer ball that my Dad made many years ago and gave to my children. It is a prized possession around this house, for sure. Who knows.....maybe Weston will turn out to be a soccer player someday too. Whatever he decides to do, this Granny will be his biggest fan, no doubt!

Now, do you see that teeny tiny little mark on my Scooty's left heel? Well, that's his ever so precious little birthmark...........also known as his Scooty Spot! Just another one of the millions of things that make Weston totally, scrumptiously PERFECT in every single way!

CARS!

It's certainly no big secret that I think Weston is the greatest little person EVER made!!! And, it's also no secret that I just LOVE to shop for him! Well, over the weekend, James and I found him a great new toy at a garage sale. The best part is that it only cost ONE dollar - woohoo!!!

This is Scooty listening to me tell him all about our purchase - a great big toy garage with cars! He may not look too excited about it right now, but in just a few more months we know he'll be THRILLED!

In the meanwhile, we'll let his good buddy, Asher, show him the ropes! Have fun, boys!

"Uncle" Jim's Birthday Celebration!

Yesterday, June 12, 2010, was a very important day! It was Scooty's "Uncle" Jim's 64th birthday!!! Jim lives across the street from us and is a very dear friend. Nobody makes us laugh as much as Jim! He is completely hilarious.

Happy Birthday, Jim! Soooo glad you like the UT Football shirt that we got you. Hook Em'!

Weston had been out shopping with Bailey and Brian all day and was soooooooo tired when Jim's bday party at the pool began. He usually LOVES to swim, but today..........not so much..........he was still pooped out.

So, Bailey just got him out of the water for some cuddle time instead.

Besides, Weston's friends Mikayla and Boston weren't swimming anyways.

So into his comfy towel he went! I think he looks TOTALLY adorable...as always!

After awhile, Scoots began to wake up a bit and started chatting with us.

Then he REALLY got going!

Soon it was time to get dressed and head over to Jim and Pat's house for dinner! Just HAD to put this picture on........EVERYBODY'S got at least one nudie baby picture in their past! It will be great blackmail someday - ha! Plus, I just can't resist his little chunky self!!!!!!!!!!

All dressed and ready to go........just waiting on all of the Dads to get all the pool gear together and cleaned up so that we can head out!

Here Weston is intently listening to Bailey talking to him. He looks so darn cute and I LOVE watching him together with Bailey. She is such a great Mommy!

We all pigged out on hotdogs, brats, potato salad, baked beans, fruit salad and delicious chocolate cake! Scoots settled for his trusty ol' bottle and his soft yellow blankie. It was a great night with family and friends. We love you, Jim! Thanks for making us part of your big day!

Buddies!

Brenner always calls Weston his "Little Buddy". I love that. He also loves to show Weston off to all of his friends. I love that too! He even has a picture of Weston set as the wallpaper/screen saver on his phone. I REALLY love that. He ADORES being Scooty's uncle. I love that best of all...

"Little Yellow Riding Hood"

Weston gets really giggly sometimes, especially when he's tired. One of his favorite games is for me to swaddle him all up in his yellow blanket. This particular blanket is very special to me because my sister-in-law, Joyce, made it for me when Bailey was born. It is so incredibly soft, cuddly and comfy that I used it constantly when she was little and then used it for Braydon and Brenner as well. Naturally, I passed it along to Weston and he loves it just as much as my kids did! Anyway, I don't know why, but Scooty just immediately starts cracking up everytime I wrap him in it. Then, he REALLY gets the laughter going when I get in his little neck and give him loads of kisses. It's so funny to watch him because his beautiful blues are practically rolling back in his head because he's so tired, yet he just doesn't want to stop the game. If I do, he'll try sooooo hard to pull his little head up toward me for more kisses and then laughs his little self half to pieces when I give in. It's the BEST!

Weston The Wonder Baby!!!

You see that crab on Weston's outfit??? Well, I can certainly tell you that THAT is the absolute ONLY thing about my Scooty Bug that is crabby! You see that ear-to-ear ADORABLE smile of his??????? That is EXACTLY what he treats us to 99.9% of the time. Yes, he has his moments of drama, (see the post titled "And The Award Goes To...) however, he is nearly always a total Wonder Baby!

I know, I know............I can already "hear" you all thinking it..........I'm partial to Weston cuz he's mine and he could do anything on earth and I'd still be singing his praises. True, so true.....but he really IS a Wonder Baby. He is happy from morning until night and honestly doesn't fuss unless he has a real bone to pick with somebody...........this usually involves his bottle not being prepared, warmed and ready to go the very exact minute that he opens his eyes from a nap. Otherwise, he is happy spending time in his bouncer, watching his mobile, swinging in his swing, being read to, going on walks, taking his bath, watching the crazy dogs or just whatever! And, when he's tired, he sends you a clear signal that he just wants to be put into his crib and left the heck alone! When he does that, I just give him his noonie and his soft blanky to hold and lay him down where he drifts off to dream land without so much as a peep! You are SUCH a good baby, Weston and I love you with all my heart!

We Sure Missed You!

Scooty Bug was AWOL from daycare yesterday and we sure did miss him! The "big kids" kept walking around, trying to peek into his crib and asking, "Where's Weston?" So cute. Weston spent the day at his house with Brian's Mom who was in town from San Antonio to visit! I'm sure she had a great day with Scoots but we are sooooooooooo glad to have him back!

Squeaky Clean Scooty Bug!

Ahhhhh...........bath time.......definitely still one of the highlights of Weston's day - and mine too!

He looks sooooo cute just chillin' in his tub with all of his toys. I honestly think he would stay in there for hours if I let him. He definitely gets his love of baths from his Mommy & Granny!

Scooty thinks his duck is very funny and will "talk" to him throughout bath time.

My favorite thing about Weston's baths is how even more sweet-smelling and precious he is afterwards! From his fluffy little hairs to his pink little toes, he is DELICIOUS!

Scooty Bug & His Grandpa!

Scoots stayed at our house for a few hours yesterday while Bailey and Brian went to a pool party at a friend's house. They planned to pick up Weston and take him back to the party once it cooled down a bit outside. Meanwhile, he hung out with Grandpa just swinging and watching golf. Weston eyes were totally glued to the TV - maybe he'll turn out to be a golfer like his Uncle Brenner!

Here's Weston deep in conversation with Grandpa. It cracks me up to hear James talk to Scoots. He is so silly with him and I love it that he can be such a goofball. Watching him with Weston reminds me so much of the times when our children were little and he would spend time with them.

Yesterday Bailey was putting sunscreen all over Weston before taking him swimming. She used some of it to form his hair into a mohawk..............he was not too thrilled as you can see! Smart boy!

It's the day after doctor day and, as you can see by these pictures, Scooty Bug
hasn't had any reactions to his shots! Despite those old mean things, he's just as happy as always! Yippee!!!

Trip to the River for Uncle Cameron's Graduation and Memorial Day!

Scooty Bug was quite the Water Bug this past weekend as he, Brian, Bailey and Brenner travelled to Spring Branch for Uncle Cameron's graduation! After all the graduation festivities were over, it was time to hit the Guadalupe! Doesn't he look just so, so cute???!!!
