One MAJOR difference...

My Delicious Little Duck and I are alike in so many ways...........THIS, however, is NOT one of them. Do you see this sweet little stinker on the bathroom scale???? I would NEVER get on a scale by choice, and I mean NEVER!!! Ever. Ever. Ever.

Now, check him out...he's SMILING under that noonie of his. Smiling. While on a scale.

I'm jealous. Scales give me absolutely no reason to smile. Ho hum...
I love you, Silly Mister!

Story Time With "Auntie Robin"

Sweet "Auntie Robin" brought Weston a new book while he was "under the weather" from his surgery. Here he is very intently listening to Robin read, "Is Your Mama A Llama?" I absolutely LOVE the expression on his face - SOOOO deep in concentration!

He also scored a new kangaroo Beanie Baby - "Auntie Robin" always knows how to spoil our Little Man!
I. Love. This. Picture.
My dearest friend with my dearest treasure on earth.
No words to express it.

FORE!!!

While Weston was recovering from his surgery, his "Auntie Neva" brought him his very own giant golf club and giant golf ball. Not only did Weston LOVE his gift, but I loved it too because he had been chasing the dogs around with REAL golf clubs just the day before, making a nice plastic club a very welcome relief!

Here's our Boogity getting swing lessons from our resident golf pro, "Uncle Bwenna"! SO CUTE!
I'm sure these two will spend many afternoons together on the links!

Our Very Own Chester Cheetah!

Just like his Granny, Weston appreciates the culinary greatness of Puffy Cheetos...

supremely deeeeeeeelicious!

I love you, Chester!

Super Mad!

Yep...fairly certain that we have REALLY ticked him off this time - HA!

Granny Waffles!

My Mom, Weston's Great-Granny, makes the most delicious waffles in the whole world. I loved eating them as a kid. When my own kids were little, they called them "Granny Waffles" - since it was their Granny who gave us the recipe - and they were always a super special treat! To this day, we still make those waffles and still call them by the same name. After Weston was released from the hospital, he came to stay at my house with Bailey and Brian so that I could help out with his medications, wound care etc. during the day while Brian was at work. Trust me, changing the packing of his surgical incision took at least two people, usually three, and Bailey could have never done it had she been on her own with him at their home in Devine.

One morning during their stay, I made the famous Granny Waffles and Weston was thrilled! I think he was especially thrilled because we let him stand on my kitchen counter to eat them since he was still too sore to sit on his poor little bottom...

SUPER DELICIOUS!!!
I love you, sweet Weston and would have made you ANYTHING to help you feel better!!!

Surgery for Weston

Our poor, poor Scooty has been in the hospital. He had a tiny red bump, perhaps a bite of some sort, on his left butt cheek that quickly developed into a dangerous, swift spreading infection. Within just a few hours of initially noticing the bump, he began running a fever and the affected area turned red, hot and ANGRY! Bailey and Brian took him to North Central Baptist Hospital E.R. where, unfortunately, he was sent home on antibiotics rather than immediately sent for surgery. This was yet another "bad call" on behalf of NC Baptist (we've had others in the past) and, I can assure you, that we will never, ever, EVER allow any of our family members to be treated there again. The next day, Weston was much worse and had to be taken to Methodist Children's Hospital. The staff there immediately recognized the severity of his condition and started him on IV antibiotics. The next morning, Weston underwent surgery to drain and remove the abscessed area on his sweet little buns. He remained in the hospital for a couple of days and now is home on oral antibiotics. He also has to have his surgical site packed twice per day which is very painful for him and thus very painful for those of us who have to do the packing - just SO hard to see our little Boogity in pain. Fortunately, he is on the mend and doing so much better. I thank God every single second that my precious Little Man is going to be okay!

Happy Birthday, Grandpa!!!

Grandpa and "his" Weston celebrating Grandpa's 45th birthday at Willie's!!!

Weston is the best birthday present in the world!!!

Weston's New Buddies!

On Thursday, August 11th, Scoobs got to meet all of my new SA daycare kiddos!

First, there's Jackson - such a sweetie! Here he is with Bailey...

Then, there are the twins...Brooke & Tilly...

I was so excited for Weston to meet them and FINALLY have new friends to play with because I know how much he has been missing my FW daycare kiddos.
He warmed up right away!
He was very gentle with little Jackson and shared all of the toys - even the dog toys - ha!

He told Tilly all about playing outside...

Although our Delicious Little Man is and always will be the King of the Castle, he still wanted to let his new friends play in his "castle" with him. Just look at that precious and inviting face of his! Such a good friend!

Weston, Brooke and Tilly went up and down the slide over and over and over again!

After all that "hard work", it was time for a snack! Here are Weston and Tilly having fig newtons and milk - YUMMO!

I know that there will be many more special moments shared between these four kiddos and I look forward to watching their friendships grow!

I LOVE YOU, WESTON!!!

YOU ARE THE BEST FRIEND ANYONE COULD EVER HAVE!!!

We're Baaaaack!

HAVE YOU MISSED THIS SWEET LITTLE FACE?????

I know that I sure have!

In case you hadn't heard, Brian, Bailey & Weston moved to Devine a few months ago so we were separated for awhile until our Ft. Worth house sold and we could move to San Antonio to once again be closer to them. Our time apart nearly killed me because I missed my Scoober SOOOOOOO much. Obviously, since he was in Devine and I was in Ft. Worth, my blogging had to come to an end until we were reunited. There are no words in this world to express how grateful I am to be back with that sweet, precious grandson of mine. And, with another Archer baby on the way, I am doubly blessed.
Here's to a future FILLED with special Granny moments!!!
I LOVE YOU, WESTON!!!

Weston's Baby Brother/Sister...

Here are a couple of shots of Bailey cooking up Weston's lil bro or sis!

8 weeks pregnant...

12 weeks pregnant...

I can't wait to find out if it's going to be Cash Allen or Campbell Michelle!

Either way, we are gonna love that little booger like CRAZY!!!!

Natural Bridge Wildlife Park

Today we went to the Natural Bridge Wildlife Park near Garden Ridge. Brian and Bailey have taken Weston before and, he had SO much fun, that we decided to take him again. When Bailey & Boogity arrived at our house, we had to wait a little while for Uncle Brenner to shower and get ready, but Scooty didn't mind one bit. He just busied himself with all of my office supplies!

Silly Little Man!

Then, we were off! From the very first to the very last animal in the park, Weston was all about hanging out the window and hand feeding those guys. He absolutely LOVED it and had no fear whatsoever...

He would yell out the window, "Deer, Here Deer".

Melt. My. Heart.

Such a Super Smartie!

He would go back and forth between my window and Bailey's, depending on where the animals were located and which kind he most wanted to see.

I couldn't wait to get to the ostriches and zebras! From past experience, I knew that they normally put on quite a show and don't hesitate one bit to waltz right up to cars and stick their entire head inside!

When the zebras started to approach, I literally had to cling to Weston so he wouldn't jump out the window because he was so excited! Once they actually reached the car, he wasn't quite as sure about those big fellas, however, and decided to just sit on Bailey's lap and watch as Brenner and I pet and fed those beautiful creatures. It is an amazing feat of nature to see how incredibly perfect and symmetrical their stripings are. Just awesome.

Once our drive through the park was over, we headed to the petting zoo.
I absolutely ADORE this picture of Brenner with his Uncle Brenner. So sweet.

As we watched Weston running all around looking at everything with such a big grin on his face, I turned to Brenner and said, "Don' moments like this make every second of our move worthwhile?" Without ANY hesitation, Brenner answered, "Most definitely!"

Ahhhhhh................bliss. That Little Man OWNS our hearts!

When we entered the petting zoo area, Weston immediately spied this cute little black goat.

I, on the other hand, was totally smitten with this little guy. I wanted to take him home.

As usual, our brave boy played around amongst all of the goats without a care in the world, freely feeding and petting them as if he'd done it all his life. I so love the fact that Weston loves animals just like his Mommy and Granny!

Isn't this the CUTEST face you have ever, ever seen??????????
Delicious.

Weston, Uncle Brenner & Bailey!

Here's Uncle Brenner pointing to some colorful Macaws. Brenner just got back from vacationing in Mexico where he got to hold some Macaws so he's telling Weston all about it.

Our next stop was the gift shop where we showed Scoober a little elephant that kind of resembles his beloved Ollie. Well..........all that sweet boy had to do was shoot one smile toward that elephant, and you better know that this Granny was making the purchase!

Sweetness......Uncle Brenner, Scooty Bug and "Imposter Ollie" as Bailey calls it...

After the Wildlife Park, we hit Chuy's for lunch, where Weston dug in to the chips & queso.

Yum!

We had SUCH a fun day and it was the best thing EVER to get to see the Wildlife Park through Weston's eyes. I LOVE YOU, MY LITTLE MAN, and can't wait to go on our next adventure!
