Today we went to the Natural Bridge Wildlife Park near Garden Ridge. Brian and Bailey have taken Weston before and, he had SO much fun, that we decided to take him again. When Bailey & Boogity arrived at our house, we had to wait a little while for Uncle Brenner to shower and get ready, but Scooty didn't mind one bit. He just busied himself with all of my office supplies!
Silly Little Man!
Then, we were off! From the very first to the very last animal in the park, Weston was all about hanging out the window and hand feeding those guys. He absolutely LOVED it and had no fear whatsoever...
Melt. My. Heart.
Such a Super Smartie!
He would go back and forth between my window and Bailey's, depending on where the animals were located and which kind he most wanted to see.
I couldn't wait to get to the ostriches and zebras! From past experience, I knew that they normally put on quite a show and don't hesitate one bit to waltz right up to cars and stick their entire head inside!
When the zebras started to approach, I literally had to cling to Weston so he wouldn't jump out the window because he was so excited! Once they actually reached the car, he wasn't quite as sure about those big fellas, however, and decided to just sit on Bailey's lap and watch as Brenner and I pet and fed those beautiful creatures. It is an amazing feat of nature to see how incredibly perfect and symmetrical their stripings are. Just awesome.
Once our drive through the park was over, we headed to the petting zoo.
I absolutely ADORE this picture of Brenner with his Uncle Brenner. So sweet.
I absolutely ADORE this picture of Brenner with his Uncle Brenner. So sweet.
As we watched Weston running all around looking at everything with such a big grin on his face, I turned to Brenner and said, "Don' moments like this make every second of our move worthwhile?" Without ANY hesitation, Brenner answered, "Most definitely!"
Ahhhhhh................bliss. That Little Man OWNS our hearts!
When we entered the petting zoo area, Weston immediately spied this cute little black goat.
I, on the other hand, was totally smitten with this little guy. I wanted to take him home.
As usual, our brave boy played around amongst all of the goats without a care in the world, freely feeding and petting them as if he'd done it all his life. I so love the fact that Weston loves animals just like his Mommy and Granny!
Isn't this the CUTEST face you have ever, ever seen??????????
Delicious.
Delicious.
Weston, Uncle Brenner & Bailey!
Here's Uncle Brenner pointing to some colorful Macaws. Brenner just got back from vacationing in Mexico where he got to hold some Macaws so he's telling Weston all about it.
Our next stop was the gift shop where we showed Scoober a little elephant that kind of resembles his beloved Ollie. Well..........all that sweet boy had to do was shoot one smile toward that elephant, and you better know that this Granny was making the purchase!
