Mayfest 2011!

On Saturday, we gathered the troops (Brian, Bailey, Weston, Jarrod, Jess, Boston, Jim, Pat, Donny, Gail, Reed, Grandpa & me) and headed out to Mayfest along the Trinity River. Mayfest is basically an outdoor festival type thing with various booths, shopping, food, kids activities etc.

The Archers posing by one of the Mayfest signs (while blinded by the sun!)

All of the "Little Mayfesters"...Weston, Reed & Boston

Such good buddies!

At one of the booths, the kiddos each got a little sand shovel. Here, Weston and Boston are passing one of the shovels back and forth.

Of course, we had to pause every few strides to kiss on our delicious Scooty Bug!

Bailey and Weston checking out some super cute ducks. There was a duck racing booth and, while some ducks were racing, others rested in a coop where the kiddos could reach through and pet them, feed them, etc. Weston was mesmerized!

"Here Ducky, Ducky, Ducky..."

Snacking along the way... "Wanna Cheese Nip?"

Mmmmm...........enjoying some of Grandpa & Granny's funnel cake - YUMMY!

Finally sprung from the stroller - WOO HOO!

Scooty Bug LOVES his Grandpa! Especially when he gets to ride way up high on his shoulders! You can see EVERYTHING from up there!

Brian and his "Mini-Me"

Weston kept trying to pry Brian's mouth open with his little shovel.

When that didn't work, he just decided to use it as a drumstick on Brian's head....I just LOVE the expression on Weston's face!

The ducks were such a hit with Weston that we went by them again on our way out. I am so glad that Weston is an animal lover like me!By the time we got back to the shuttle, we had one TIRED Little Man! Here he is all snuggled up in Grandpa's arms with his beloved Ollie Elephant.

I love you, Scoober, and am glad we got to share this fun day with you!
