Weston's First Road Trip!

This past weekend, Weston took his first road trip to San Antonio! Weston's Great-Uncle, John Riordan, unfortunately passed away and we all headed down to S.A. for his memorial service. Although it was a sad occasion, it was good to see so much of our family. Weston, especially, got to see lots of people! Bailey and Brian said that he did a great job in the car and slept the whole way. The three of them stayed at Weston's Grandpa Doug and Grandma Bev's house with Uncle Cameron and Aunt Alyssa. Apparently, everyone practically fought over who got to hold Weston the most, and I don't blame them one little bit! Weston also got to see his Great-Grandpa Ron and Great-Grandma Wilma. They made a big welcome sign for Weston that they hung out in their yard to surprise him when he arrived - so sweet! Scoots also got to see his Grandpa Pat, Grandma Lisa and Aunt Hailey. I am soooooooo glad that soooo many people in Brian's family adore Precious Scooty Bug soooooooo much! He is such a lucky little boy!

On Saturday, we met lots of my family at Alamo Cafe for lunch. We love that restaurant and miss it BIG TIME here in Ft. Worth. We were so excited to have their yummy food, and Weston got to see even MORE people who love him!

2nd cousin Michael and 3rd cousin Ella were there!

So was Great-Auntie Brigitte!

And 2nd cousin, Kim!

3rd cousin, Mason did a GREAT job holding Weston!

2nd cousin Jenny joined us too!

And Great-Aunt Kelly with Great-Uncle Martin!

Of course Grandpa was there!

Great Granny, "Aunt" Neva, and 2nd cousin Lanyon were there too! The food was delicious and we all had a really good time.

After lunch, it was off to Brigitte's house to get ready for Great-Uncle John's service.

Here is Weston, all ready to go, snoozing with Great-Uncle Mike while Mommy finished getting dressed.

Weston was so good throughout the memorial service. We were sorry that Great-Uncle John never got to meet Weston, but we hope he knows that Weston was there to celebrate his life. Afterwards, Weston got to meet lots of Grandpa's family for the first time!
